I recently spent two weeks in Northern Ireland with my wife. Our first week was spent in the small town of Dunfanaghy, in Donegal County. My wife spent the week horse back riding and I out shooting and exploring. On one of my drives, I came across this small stream near the Bridge of Tears.
Early one morning I headed North on the “Wild Atlantic Way” highway to The Fanad Head Lighthouse. I was greeted with light rain and gentle breezes. With a bit of post processing, I added the light in the lighthouse as it is not functional. In the photo below, I was able to add a bit of glow behind the lighthouse.
Another mornings drive found me at a Oyster farming operation. I brought my drone with me on this trip which allowed me to capture the following image.
Just above the hillside behind the Oyster farm, I found this wonderful tree standing alone in this field.
I had an opportunity to visit Glenveagh National Park one morning. I took a short walk around the a lake in the park and found these nice grasses. I shifted my WB to incandescent to move the color toward the blue side.
My wife had one day off from riding during the week, we took that day off to sight see together. We drove North to see the Giants Causeway. The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption.
From the causeway, we drove to see the Dark Hedges. The Dark Hedges is an avenue of beech trees along Bregagh Road between Armoy and Stranocum in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Below you will find some additional images shot wandering around the beautiful country of Ireland.
